Dragon Ball Super: Broly is dominant in theaters around the world and its success is hard to ignore. With millions of dollars in bank, the anime proved that he could reinvent himself when he was called, and several animators had just given fans a glimpse of how the series had done that. .

For those who have not yet followed Dragon Ball Super his first film has greatly contributed to recast his style. The franchise came back to life several years ago with Dragon Ball Z: The Battle of the Gods and the series released its current television show Dragon Ball Super in 2015. The Project was popular from the beginning, but its animation left a lot to be desired. Thus, the team working on Dragon Ball Super: Broly amazed fans with his artistic style and his updated designs.

Squeezing Twitter, three different animators who worked on the film came out to show fans how they had brought a new style to Dragon Ball . For example, Mehdi Aouichaoui, a Twitter user, posted a raw version of Freeza. The 2D animator may come from France, but his mastery of Freeza is as valid as what art director Naohiro Shintani could do.

One of the breaks of a small sequence that I could do for the latest Dragon Ball Broly movie. It was really fun to do. Thank you Toei for giving us this opportunity. pic.twitter.com/pCsT3aMmK3

Aouichaoui is not the only French animator to have worked on the film. An army of artists helped bring the film to life, and the user Eddmsli is one of them. The facilitator has posted a short excerpt of the work done with Goku. As you can see above, the black-and-white animation shows Goku sweeping one arm over his chest defensively, and a third animator further brightened the Saiyan with a brutal cut.

Ken Arto, a Franco-Japanese animator, posted a long reel that they made for the film. The rough cut shows that Goku and Vegeta are squabbling outside of their training, but the situation gets tense when the latter begins to scream. Fortunately – or perhaps inadvertently – both are interrupted when Bulma receives a video call from her son Trunks and the update leads the Saiyan duo to their big meeting with Broly.
