Building the Ultimate Extreme Rules Map

– Extreme rules are coming this Sunday, which means it's time to build another map. Extreme Rules became a PPV in 2009 and has been running every year since. For those who read this column for the first time, the goal is to take one game from each card without a wrestler appearing more than once. The other rules are: you must include a match for each title defended in the series history. For the extreme rules, we must use a match WWE, World, ECW, Intercontinental, United States, Cruiserweight, Tag and Woman's Title. As always, mail each of your cards below.

2009: ECW Title: bad Match: Christian (c) vs. Tommy Dreamer vs. Jack Swagger (9:38) [1945] 19659003] -There was only one match for the title ECW in the history of extreme rules, so it was an easy choice. What made it difficult for me was that it took Christian and Swagger away from me to be able to participate in any World Title game and that limited what I could choose. The match itself is a solid match with a happy ending, Tommy Dreamer winning the ECW title. Since it was the only game I could pick, I did not even have time to look at the rest of the card, but Edge and Jeff Hardy in a Ladder Match and Punk cashed afterwards would have been solid choices.

2010: Hair Match: CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio (15:57)

– This was one of the few places where the world title was defended, but it was Swagger and Orton and Swagger being in the ECW match eliminated that. There was also the option of using Cena vs Batista for the WWE title, but I wanted to save Batista for later and I hoped to save Cena for an even bigger match. It boiled down to two options for me and it was between Punk / Mysterio or Edge / Jericho in a cage. Both matches have impressive star power and I decided to choose the best match. Punk and Mysterio had good chemistry and this is a very good match that ended with the loss of her hair.

2011: WWE Tag Titles: Lumberjack Match: Big Show / Kane (c) Vs. Corre (4:15)

-I still tried to find another team match, but after all the other games for the title, I was satisfied, that's what I had it left. When I first used this card, I had sketched Punk / Orton, but I liked the previous year's Punk / Mysterio match and needed a title match. For those who were wondering about The Corre in this match consisting of Ezekiel Jackson and Wade Barrett.

2012: World Title: 2 falls out of 3: Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan (22:55)

-I really wanted to play the great Lesnar / Cena game here, but it just would not work with the need for # 39, a match for the world title. As mentioned, the match for the ECW title I played because I had to use it in 2009, which was right Edge / Hardy. In 2010, the match for the Orton / Swagger World Title was eliminated and in 2011, Del Rio / Christian was also eliminated, thanks to the match for the ECW title. In 2013, we had not even had a match for the world title, so I had only this match of 2012. Do not get me wrong, it's an incredible match that allowed them to be caught in Mania, but I really like the Cena / Lesnar game. Yet again, Sheamus and Bryan destroyed the house on what was the PPV of the year in 2012.

2013: WWE Title: Last Man Standing: John Cena (c) vs. Ryback (21: 26) [19659006] -I initially had Reigns / Styles as my match for the WWE and Cena title instead of the American title against Rusev, but I really wanted Reigns to play for a different match and that brewing leads to that match to be in my place at the WWE title. It was the first meeting between the two and the match is ok, but the finish is horrible because it ends in a draw. At first, I was going to use Ambrose by defeating Kofi for the American title, but I realized that I also had New Day in a title match with Tag who was booking double Kofi. Instead of changing one, I chose to remove both games and start from scratch. Nothing else on the map really stands out apart from the Brock / HHH match which was my only chance of getting Brock on the map, but the match is dull and I wanted HHH for a different match.

2014: The Shield vs. Evolution (19:52)

– It's maybe a mistake to get 6 of the biggest stars of this period in a match, but I'm not sure what's going on. was happy to have won it works. These 6 had a big quarrel for a few months after Mania, who helped put The Shield over their first babyface, but as soon as they were at their best, Rollins turned against the group. This match was fantastic, like most of the 6 Men's Shield matches at the time (check out Wyatt Family / Shield at Elimination Chamber). Evolution did everything to put The Shield on the back of its PPVs and it was fantastic. As noted with the use of these 6 men, she killed him elsewhere, but the only other game I considered was Tamina / Paige for the Divas title and I think I made the right decision .

2015: Divas Championship: Nikki Bella (c) against Naomi (8:10)

-At the beginning, I had New Day against Cesaro / Kidd, but I l? I deleted after I was going to use Kofi sooner and then realized that I wanted Cesaro for later. Then I chose to use Rusev / Cena for my US title title, but I needed a WWE title match and using Cena / Ryback improved everything for me. So, that leaves room for my women's title match and it was a decent choice I think. Of course, most would want a match after the Divas revolution, but the WWE was preparing for it in 2015 and Nikki was a good bridge for the new era we have now.

2016: Intercontinental Title: The Miz (c) vs. Cesaro vs. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn (18:18)

– This is a great match that is a forgotten clbadic. These four players stole the show on a map featuring a very good main event with AJ and Roman. I had it initially for my WWE title match, but I really wanted this 4 Way because it was the best match and I wanted the Evolution / Shield match. It's bad, I did not have AJ on the map, but again, this game is great. Do yourself a favor and see if everyone plays their role perfectly.

2017: Cruiserweight title: Submission Match: Neville (c) against Austin Aries (17:35)

– For now, this is the only match for the CW title in Extreme Rules history, so he made things easy. The match is at the lower end of what these two can do and it's largely thanks to the matching work. Neville was carrying the division and it was fun to see Aries work after spending some time at the ads office. The two men quickly burned their decks out of the WWE, but they are doing well outside of the WWE bubble.

2018: United States Title: Jeff Hardy (c) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (0:06)

-I need a match for the American title and once I'm up. I chose not to use Rusev / Cena, it was my best option. In fact, I was at this show and the best match was Rusev / AJ for the WWE title, but I already had a WWE title match. Before settling the match for the IC title and shield, I had decided to use the Ziggler / Rollins Iron Man match. For some reason, the WWE likes to give us (Pittsburgh) the Iron Man / Woman matches though after the debacle with the crowd counting with the clock as if it was the Rumble, we will never be able to find one. I was actually in agreement with the Hardy / Nakamura match, all I wanted was to see Nakamura's entrance, see him touch the ball, and see him win, and the three. In addition, each match of a card does not have to last more than 20 minutes.

– You have it with my Ultimate Extreme Rules card. Just like the last ones, this one was pretty easy to restore and nothing was causing me too much trouble. Overall, I think it's a solid map with some of the games coming up and / or coming in first. **** The power of the stars is also strong, so again, I think it worked well. The total bell time of the 10 matches is 2:18:06, so it would be a pretty easy time, even if you add all the entries.

-The next month is SummerSlam and there should be a choir like there. There will be 31 shows and a ton of titles to go, but who does not like the challenges? Maybe I'll try to insert another card before SummerSlam, but I have no promise on that. I still have some ideas, because I would like to make one for the shows In Your House and I also realized that I had just pbaded the time of the year when the WWE was organizing King of the Ring, so we can move on to that one then. 19659003] -As a thank you for reading, post your cards and comments please.
