Cannes 2019 Day 1: Priyanka Chopra will debut, Hina Khan and Mallika Sherawat get ready for the red carpet | Bollywood

Indian films may not have been in the competition section of the Cannes Film Festival, but the actors who will march on the red carpet of the prestigious film festival will certainly get bigger. The actress Priyanka Chopra is ready to debut at the Cannes red carpet and was seen leaving the United States for France. Television actress Hina Khan and Bollywood actress, Diana Penty, joined Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Kangana Ranaut as they prepare to make an appearance fashionable in the French city of Rivera. Mallika Sherawat is another regular on the Croisette promenade.

In fact, Mallika shared her preparations for her visit to Cannes. Dressed in a cyan dress, she can be seen twirling for the camera. Hina, meanwhile, made her film festival debut with her short film, Lines. Hina opted for a peach suit for her interviews before her first appearance at the festival. She also shared a number of pictures of her fitting sessions. One of the videos from her movie Insta Stories shows several dresses in a closet.

Hina posted a photo where she went back to the camera and she is wearing casual shoes and sports shoes. She has her hair tied in a pony. The Eiffel Tower is visible in the background. "#JustBe … I get my energy back … before it starts," she wrote next to the article.

Mallika also shared a video of her previous outing to Cannes, where the crowd cheered.

Bollywood Actors Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut, Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor and Huma Qureshi will also participate in the ongoing festival that began on Monday. While Deepika is expected to hit the red carpet on May 16th, Sonam could appear on the red carpet on May 20th and 21st. Aishwarya is expected to arrive in Cannes by May 19th. Kangana will appear on the red carpet at the 72nd edition of the festival. Diana Penty will also debut at the festival.

Although there are no Indian films in the main categories, several short films are screened during the festival to be held from May 14th to May 25th. He screened six minutes of his virtual reality film, The Musk, at the May 14 film festival.
