Arjun Reddy by Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandy is a hit movie that has been redone in several languages. The Hindi remake, called Kabir Singh, has for main role to play Shahid Kapoor. The Tamil remake was shot with the son of Chiyaan Vikram, Dhruv, and Megha Chowdhury. However, the manufacturers were not satisfied with the final product and decided not to release the film. The actress has been replaced by Banita Sandhu, from October, and will be shot again. The Tamil remake of the film is called Varmaa. Taran Adarsh, an industry insider, tweeted the final cast of the film.
He wrote: "CONFIRMED … The lady Banita Sandhu of the month of October will play in the remake of #ArjunReddy … Dhruv Vikram, son of Chiyaan Vikram, to try the main role. Not only the female co-star, but the producers were also quite unhappy with the work of director Bala. The film will be shot Banita and a new director whose name has not yet been announced. A week before the planned release, the producers issued a statement saying: "We are not at all satisfied with the final version we were given … we decided not to release this version."
