LOS ANGELES – Childish rapper Childish Gambino won the Grammy for best video on Sunday for his video clip "This Is America" on gun violence and racism.

The disturbing video "This is America" took the Internet by storm last spring, recording more than 35 million views on YouTube in just two days.
The rapper offers a dark vision of black life in the United States, contrasting brutal images of chaotic violence and references to the legacy of slavery with merry Afrobeat rhythms and a gospel choir . The 35-year-old wins his Grammy Award for the second time overall, after his hit "Redbone" won the R & B Traditional Best Performance Award last year.
