George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Robert de Niro joined a growing protest in Hollywood on Thursday for the Oscar organizers' plans to present photographs, editing and other awards during commercial breaks during the Oscars ceremony next week.
Sandra Bullock, Emma Stone and Jon Hamm also added their names to an open letter signed by directors Martin Scorsese, Spike Lee and Alfonso Cuaron demanding that the decision be rescinded.
The Academy of Arts and Sciences of the Cinema announced earlier this week that the Oscars for Best Cinematography, Film Editing, Short Films and Makeup / Hairstyle would be featured during the publicity during the television broadcast of February 24th. The academy announced that revised versions of the winners' acceptance speeches would appear later in the live broadcast.

The shot is part of # 39, an effort to shorten the broadcast of the Oscars and increase the number of viewers. In total, 24 Oscars were awarded at the ceremony in Hollywood. The organizers have committed to reducing its duration from about 40 minutes to three hours this year.

The changes were also attacked on Twitter by Cuaron, an Oscar nominee for cinematography and realizing his nominee for the best film, "Roma".
