Arjun was arrested receiving much praise from all. One of the fans, Harsh Hede, who survived the Battle of Pune Explosion of a Bomb in 2010, went to Twitter to thank Arjun Kapoor and the creators of India's Most wanted. He wrote: "I sincerely greet these heroes for capturing the person responsible for my worst nightmares, I know how hard it is to survive an explosion, and I will never forget it on February 13, 2010."

An India film critic for India Today, Ananya Bhattacharya, awarded the film 2 out of 5 stars and wrote: "Director Raj Kumar Gupta tells his story with a hilarious dialogue here and there. "Wanted is suffering from a slow pace, which is very detrimental to a movie of this genre.This is a crime thriller.The movie should have been much better knitted.The story is moving hardly in the first part.You feel disconnected even if there is something happening on the screen. "
The other version is the biographical film of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of Vivek Oberoi, which generated about 2 , 88 crore rupees at the box office. Both films face stiff competition from the Hollywood film Aladdin.
