The special session convened by the Aam Aadmi party to discuss Chile's recent attack on Prime Minister Arvind Kejriwal was attacked by both the BJP and Congress.

Opposition leader Vijender Gupta said that this session was another act of the Chief Minister to deceive the public. He added that Kejriwal had solved the problem by addressing an extraordinary issue and deceiving the public by convening a special session.

Meanwhile, Delhi Congress President Ajay Maken said the attack was a "personal problem".

Gupta claimed that the PAA government was not willing to deliberate on issues of public interest such as transportation, pollution, modernization of medical facilities, the increase in the number schools, improving the quality of life and civic infrastructure in slums. "The government is focusing instead on a useless problem like the chilli attack, which was politically motivated. These issues deserve no public attention, neither its time nor its money," said the Rohini MP, adding that the Bharatiya Janata party had seen no merit.

Maken, on the other hand, wrote a letter to President Ram Niwas Goel, contesting the purpose of Monday's special session. In his letter, Maken said: "It is surprising that the CM never had time to convene a special session to discuss important issues such as pollution, dengue, sealing, the deterioration of the law and order in the city which have a direct bearing on the inhabitants of Delhi "

On November 20, a man threw hot pepper powder at Kejriwal in front of his office at the Delhi secretariat. The Chief Minister's glbades broke but he was not injured. The 40-year-old man, who allegedly threw chili powder on Delhi's head of government, Arvind Kejriwal, broke windows at the secretariat's reception in Delhi a year and a half ago after failing to secure a CM hearing, the police said. The accused, Anil Sharma, was arrested on Tuesday and jointly interrogated by the local police, the special cell and the intelligence office.
