Congressman shows Chris Evans his glass eye with Captain America's emblem

The star and the good guy of the Avengers Chris Evans spent time on Capitol Hill this week, while rubbing elbows with Washington's elite. A member of Congress dismissed him for a remarkable tribute. Representative Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) briefly removed his blindfold to show Evans his custom-made glbad eye with the Captain America badge.

Crenshaw, a veteran of the United States Navy, lost his right eye after being injured. Wounded by an improvised explosive device during his 2012 tour, Crenshaw retired in 2016 as a lieutenant-commander. He has won two bronze medals, the Purple Heart and the Navy and Marine Corps Medal, for his work in the Navy SEAL. .

Earlier in the week, Senator Tim Scott (R – SC ) published a photo alongside Evans, saying the two men had raised a number of political issues.
