Fans refuse to give up the #GiveElsaAGirlfriend campaign.
If you missed it, the Frozen 2 ] The teaser trailer has recently been dropped and suggests that a huge disaster is about to touch Arandelle. But instead of panicking about the fate of the realm, fans have set themselves on an unknown face. Could this young woman be the love we've been looking for Elsa for so long?
The trailer shows that Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf face several dramatic situations. "Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf go far into the forest to know the truth about an ancient mystery of their kingdom," reads the logline. Elsa puts her ice powers to the test to cross an ocean, Anna gets lost between huge mountains and Kristoff runs a herd of reindeer to launch a lawsuit against who knows what. Our favorite snowman, Olaf, spends almost no time on the screen, but in a scene, he stands alongside Elsa, looking scared by the mysterious fog that l & # 39; 39; surrounds.
This dark set of scenes does not hide the film's plot, but fans do not seem to care. The eagle-eyed spectators are obsessed with a mysterious female character who, according to them, could be the charming princess of Elsa. (There is also a new male character, but no one seems to care much about it.)
However, their badumptions are not unfounded. Last year, Frozen's co-director Jennifer Lee, refused to confirm or deny that Elsa would have a girlfriend in the sequel. She said it was "something that wandered a lot" and that writers did not close the door to make Elsa the first Disney gay princess.
"Where we go with this, we have tons of conversations about it, and we are really conscientious about these things," she said at the time. "For me … Elsa tells me every day where she has to go and she will continue to tell us, I always write from the character, and where Elsa is and what Elsa does in her life, she tells me Every day, we'll see where we're going. "
Now that the trailer is here, fans are not wasting time feeding the movement.
Kristen Bell, who plays Anna, adds to the madness when she made an enigmatic comment to a fan with "give Elsa a girlfriend" as the name of the show.
In addition, Evan Rachel Wood – the actress who speculates the new character's voices – is openly bibadual. Having a member of the LGBTQ community + the first strange Disney character would change the game.
We will know more when Frozen 2 will be released in theaters on November 22, 2019.
