Uri director's angry reaction to the Pulwama terrorist attack
The appalling terrorist attack on Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir Thursday, cost the lives of at least 40 people. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) left the whole country in shock. Among the millions of Indians who have condemned the terrorist attack are also celebrities of the Hindi film industry. Aditya Dhar, director of the recently published Uri: The Surgical Strike shared her thoughts on the Pulwama terrorist attack in an interview with Pinkvilla. Dhar told the entertainment information portal, "It's really heartbreaking. I do not know why after Uri: The Surgical Strike all this seems even more personal now. Looks like I lost my brothers.
Dhar adds that the government must take the measures that are required for these horrific acts to stop once and for all. He said, "I think the government should take whatever steps it deems appropriate to ensure that these horrific acts are stopped once and for all. As they were trying to isolate Pakistan in all ways. I think they should also isolate them that way. After this horrible, cowardly incident, they should completely cut off all links and truly isolate them.
For those who are not aware, Uri: The surgical strike is based on the September 2016 surgical strikes by the Indian Army against terrorist launchers in Pakistan, in retaliation to a terrorist attack in an army camp in Uri at the beginning of the month.
Uri: The Surgical Strike turned out to be a huge box office hit and collected more than Rs 217 crore up to now. The film, titled by Vicky Kaushal, also featured the important roles of Yami Gautam, Paresh Rawal, Kirti Kulhari, Mohit Raina and Rajit Kapur.
