Dean Ambrose leaves WWE after receiving a new contract

WWE confirmed that its former heavyweight champion, Dean Ambrose, would leave the company after WrestleMania 35.

Tuesday (January 29), PW Torch announced for the first time that Ambrose had chosen not to renew his term. The contract expires in April and he informed Vince McMahon of his decision.

In a statement, WWE said, "Dean Ambrose (Jonathan Good) will not renew his contract with WWE when it expires in April.

Dean recently clashed with his former Shield teammate, Seth Rollins, the duo faced the TLC in December, and on Sunday (January 27th) took part in the Royal Men's 30 game. Rumble eliminated by Aleister Black.

At the time of Raw's next night's edition, he lost in a singles match against Rollins and was involved in a confrontation with Nia Jax.

Ambrose is also married to WWE commentator Renee Young, with whom he appeared in episodes of Total Divas of E! .

Before joining WWE, Ambrose had fought on the independent track under the name of Jon Moxley, especially for Combat Zone Wrestlin g and Dragon Gate USA.

His departure from the WWE comes at an interesting time for the company, namely facing the new competition of the recent elite All Wrestling.

The departure of Ambrose will certainly leave no doubt that he could be directed to AEW to work alongside WWE's old names such as Chris Jericho and Cody Rhodes.
