Actor Mahesh Anand of Bollywood, who played negative roles in a number of films, was found dead Saturday at his home in Mumbai under mysterious circumstances. He was 57 years old.
The police did not rule out suicide in the death of the actor, although no notes were found at his home.
Mahesh Anand was last seen at Govinda-starrer's 'Rangeela Raja', published Jan. 18. This year.
Mahesh's body was found in decomposition at his residence in Yaari Road, Andheri, police said. The body was then sent to post-mortem at the nearby Cooper Hospital.
Mahesh Anand was living alone while his wife was staying in Moscow, the police added.
The actor appeared in several blockbuster movies of the 1990s, including Shahenshah. (1988), Coolie No 1 (1995), Swarg (1990), Kurukshetra (2000) and Vijeta (1996) and shared the screen with such big stars as Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, Govinda and Sanjay Dutt.
