Director J. Mahendran, 79, died early Tuesday morning after a short hospitalization. His son, John Mahendran, confirmed his death on social media
. He was admitted to Apollo Hospitals on March 27, after falling ill as a result of a dialysis session. According to hospital sources, he was on fan, but he was discharged Monday.
