Actress Deepika Padukone donned the avatar of an ordinary girl from Delhi for her next film Chhapaak . She embodies the character of Laxmi Agarwal, survivor of an acid attack, in director Meghna Gulzar. She also shot for the film in the capital. Her official look of the movie is already out and now, a new video of Deepika's sets is making the rounds of social media.
The latest viral video shows Deepika dressed in a school dress, shooting outside the school of a government girl with another. actor who seems to play his friend in the movie. Chhapaak is the actual story of Laxmi Agarwal, a survivor of the attack on the acid. Deepika is joined by Vikrant Mbadey in the film. The actor returned to Mumbai the other day after completing the first filming program in Delhi. All the part in which the actor was forced to shoot with heavy dentures on his face was shot in the capital at real locations. In Mumbai, sets were created to document Laxmi's life before the attack.
Deepika's first look from the movie broke the Internet. The social media were filled with comments praising Deepika and the film crew for having created on screen such a realistic portrayal of Laxmi.
Chhapaak brings Deepika back to the screen after her performance as Rani Padmavati in Sanjay Leela Bhansali Padmaavat (2018). In fact, after four years, the actor works with another director that SLB on a film playing a full part.
