Actress Deepika Padukone finished her next film, Chhapaak, on Tuesday night and described it as "the most valuable film" of her career. Sharing a group photo of the sets, Deepika also posted a message on Instagram. Her husband and actor, Ranveer Singh, was quick to say he was eager to "see the magic".
Sharing the message, Deepika wrote, "This is a summary of the MOST PRECIOUS film of my career … see you soon at the movies! 10.1.2020 #Chhapaak. Ranveer commented, "I can not wait to see the magic".

Directed by Meghna Gulzar, Chhapaak is based on the reality of Laxmi Aggarwal, a survivor of attacks at the # 39, Delhi acid. Vikrant Mbadey also plays the lead role. Deepika plays a character named Malti.
Announcing the film, director Meghna had previously shared on Instagram the image of a yellow-colored dupatta with acid stains. She also stated that Deepika would not be considered her usual character in the film. "You will not see Deepika, you know. You will see a disfigured Deepika. There is a strange similarity between the survivor and Deepika, "she said.
The survivor of the acid attack Laxmi had already told Hindustan Times in an interview:" I'm so happy that Deepika plays this role . I do not have the right to judge her. How can I judge someone from something I can not do? She has been playing great characters on the screen and I think she will do her best.
Chhapaak is scheduled to be released on January 10, 2020. This is Deepika's first film since Padmaavat, his blockbuster film. It is also the first production company of Deepika.
