Deepika Padukone Named New President of MAMI Film Festival

After recently winning the title of Bollywood's most beloved celebrity, Deepika Padukone is about to become the new face of Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival . Deepika replaced Kiran Rao as president of the annual film festival. Deepika Padukone told Mumbai Mirror: "This is an absolute honor and a huge responsibility, I believe in MAMI's vision and we are very proud of it, we are badociated with MAMI." we are committed to creating a community that film lovers and the creators of a film-pbadionate nation like ours deserve.

According to the same report, ex-president Kiran Rao left his post to focus on a film project.The producer-director said that it was a "privilege and a pleasure" to be part of the main team of MAMI. "I am delighted to welcome Deepika Padukone, one of the most beloved stars of Indian cinema, as the new president", has she added, while praising Deepika.

Other members of the main team also congratulated Deepika for getting the job. Festival director Anupama Chopra announced the news on her Twitter account this afternoon.

Smriti Kiran, creative director of the festival, also hosted the actress of Padmaavat . advice and wrote on his Twitter account.
