On December 16, 2012, a young woman was brutally raped and badaulted by five men on a private bus in Delhi. She succumbed to her injuries on December 29 of the same year. This incident inspired many demonstrations and debates on women's security in the capital. All the defendants were arrested and charged with badual badault and murder.

Delhi Crime, a fictional representation of the incident, was dropped on Monday. Shefali Shah, Adil Hussain, Rasika Dugal and Rajesh Tailang play the lead role in the main role of the police.

The trailer opens when the police discover the victims. in a Delhi street and soon establishes the facts of the case. Shah plays Varthika Chaturvedi, DCP South, responsible for the file. "This crime is not just heinous, it's crazy," she says in the trailer. After establishing the facts of the case, the trailer shows that the investigation has started, political pressures are exerted on the cops and that one country is attacking to horrible crime.

The show focuses on the investigation, the political pressure being on the police, the media position and the public outrage. Led by Shefali, the investigation team has a police officer who claimed he would have killed the criminals if the victim was his girlfriend.
