Delhi High Court asks YouTube to remove two songs from PewDiePie

New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has asked YouTube to remove from its platform two songs published by the Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie.

In an interim order made by Judge Jayant Nath on April 8, this order should be respected within two weeks. "In my opinion, it would be in the interests of justice that these videos be removed by YouTube," said Judge Nath.

A notice was sent to PewDiePie on the complaint filed by Super Cbadettes Pvt Ltd., owner of the T series, which decided to hold a hearing on July 15.

In his plea, T-Series requested that Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, better known as PewDiePie, be permanently prevented from importing the songs entitled "T-Series Diss Track / Bitch Lasagna" and "Congratulations ".

The Super Cbadettes told at the court of songs were defamatory and offensive in nature. The songs contained racist, inflammatory and hateful remarks about the Indian community and denigrated the T series and its brand,

The Indian music society claimed that PewDiePie had posted defamatory music videos to target T-Series and the Indian community will resume its first place.

PewDiePie was once the most subscribed channel on YouTube, but T-Series has outpaced it.

The court also noted that after the publication of the first video, PewDiePie had sent a communication to T-Series and apologized for posting the same. He also said "everything was fun" and badured that he "did not consider more videos in the same direction". However, on March 31, he posted a new song.
