Delhi man jumps to death after DND overview | Delhi News

NEW DELHI: A 30-year-old man committed suicide after flying over the Yamuna River after DND's overflight in southeast Delhi, a police officer said on Sunday.
The incident occurred around 11:30. Saturday, when the deceased, who was later identified as a Virender, went to the DND flyway on Noida's side by bike. Pbadersby saw Virender jump from the airlift and informed the police control room.
"After a long search by the fire brigade, the Delhi Boat Club and the local police, the body was finally found at 2 pm on Sunday," said a senior police officer at IANS.
Virender worked as a driver and stayed with his family at Radhe Shyam Park, Krishna Nagar, in East Delhi.
"During the investigation, it was discovered that the deceased had gone to Noida to meet friends." When a member of his family called him, Virender said he would soon arrive home, but later he jumped off the flyover.
"We are studying the question to find out why Virender took extreme action. At first glance, it seems that Virender has been suffering from depression for a few days, "said the policeman.
