Director Ali Abbas Zafar confirmed that he had already found the story of the third installment of the Salman Khan-Katrina franchise Kaif-starrer Tiger and had also discussed it with the producer and actor Aditya Chopra .
"It has always been important for me to find the story first. So I am extremely happy and grateful for the story I found for Tiger. This will advance the slice and will be synonymous with what the franchise has done, "Ali said.

The first opus of the franchise, Ek Tha Tiger, was led by Kabir Khan, while that the second, Tiger Zinda Hai, was directed Ali. Superstar Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are featured in both films.
