Saqib Saleem and singer Harrdy Sandhu were finalized in Ranveer Singh's team for Kabir Khan's next role, the 83, which recalls Team India's victory at the World Cup. A source close to development reveals that Saqib will play against versatile Mohinder Amarnath, the man of the game in the semifinals and the final which has largely contributed to the important victory of India against the Caribbean favorites. Harrdy plays Madan Lal, another versatile player, who won the final with Windies captain Vivian Richards. Madan Lal and Mohinder were the biggest takers in the World Cup final with three wickets apiece, the latter taking the last wicket, playing bowling Michael Holding in six points. As vice-captain of the team, Amarnath won the Cup with captain Kapil Dev in the famous picture (above).

Saqib was a level cricket player from Delhi while he was younger while Harrdy was playing in the Under-19 Punjab team as a quick pitcher with Cheteshwar Pujara Ishant Sharma Shikhar Dhawan. An elbow injury caused him to change his rhythm to sing. Although it was his first film Bollywood he played in two Punjabi films, Yaaran Da Katchup and Mera Mahi NRI.

As Mirror had previously announced (February 15), the team starts shooting from May in London and Scotland. It's a 100-day program, and by the end of March, they will participate in a 10-day reinforcement and training session in Dharamshala. They will also train in Mumbai for a week.
