The car has been fully restored and customized by SpeedKore, a bespoke car designer based in Milwaukee. A SpeedKore spokesperson told CNBC Make It that the Camaro built for Evans was estimated at about $ 275,000, including high-end parts and labor. Edmunds, a company specializing in automotive research, tells CNBC Make It that the average base price of a used 1967 Camaro is just over $ 20,000. However, a spokesman for Edmunds also noted that "the cost of the wheels, suspension, engine, seats, compressor and gauges alone would represent about $ 33,000". (Edmunds also estimated that Evans' car was easily worth six digits in total.)
