Disha Vakani, popularly known for his Daya character in the humorous television series Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, is about to say goodbye to the show. In a conversation with Indian Express on Wednesday, creator and producer Asit Kumarr Modi confirmed that he would now audition actors for the role of Daya. Asit revealed: "Some women take maternity breaks and then go back to work. We have given Disha leave and we can not wait, so we will have to start looking for a new Dayaben. We will have to replace it, for the public waiting for the return of Daya. And as they say, the show must continue (sic). "
