Dwayne Johnson teases a meeting with Marvel Studios (and what does that mean?)

It was probably inevitable. At one point, two of the hottest events in Hollywood were going to collide: Dwayne Johnson and the Marvel film universe.

And now it seems to be looming on the horizon. Or at least the possibility of seeing it.

See, Johnson is currently attached to a different superhero universe: The DC Worlds . He's about to play Black Adam there for quite some time and was talking about the filming of this movie a few weeks ago. As we had announced at the time, he claimed that Black Adam should be shot in "about a year". – a film for which he served as producer.

And yet, we are now with Johnson celebrating the opening weekend success of another film featuring a Captain Marvel, and he hints that he loves the L & Smell of what the people who gave us Avengers: Endgame are cooking.

Here's what he said in one of his frequent posts on Instagram:

"Look what you did, Kevin. Congratulations, and I know that our badistants have been trying to get together for dinner for months . We are both very busy and we look forward to our schedule .

The Kevin he refers to is Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios. And this is remarkable because Feige is not a big producer of films with a very diversified portfolio and a multitude of upcoming films. Feige only makes Marvel movies. So, if they try to meet each other, it's absolutely about discussing a way for the megawatt superstar to come to the MCU.

DC fans should not panic for the moment. This does not mean that Johnson abandons the ship, or suddenly will not be a Black Adam in the Washington worlds. People have meetings in Hollywood all the time. It's part of the culture. They like to break tires, exchange ideas and see if there is money to be made.

So these remarks are not a thing with which you can run to the bank.
