EI claims the killing of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's son in Syria

A son of the head of the Islamic State Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was killed in the city of Homs in Syria, the group's news channel reported on Tuesday [19659003"Hudayfahal-BadrithesonoftheCaliphwaskilledinanoperationagainsttheNusayriyyahandtheRussiansatthethermalpowerstationofHoms"thestatementsaidThewordNusayriyyahreferstotheAlawitecommunityofSyria

The statement shows an image of a boy carrying an badault rifle and gives no details.

The whereabouts of Baghdadi remain unknown, but the wording of Tuesday's statement seems to imply The secret head of the Islamic State has often been killed or wounded since he declared a caliphate to rule All Moslems from a mosque in Mosul in 2014, after leading his fighters in northern Iraq.

Baghdadi's latest post took the form of an undated 46-minute sound recording, published in September by the Al-Furqan organization, where he urged supporters around the world to carry out attacks against the West and continue fighting in Iraq, Syria and elsewhere.
