Ekta Kapoor on Monday organized the nomination ceremony (naamkaran) of his son Ravie Kapoor, in the presence of many celebrities. The Minister of Textiles, Smriti Irani, was among those who came to bless the newborn.

Ekta baptized the newborn 'Ravie Kapoor' after the name of his father, Jeetendra. Ravie was born on January 27th through the intermediary of a surrogate mother. Ekta announced his birth later on social networks. "I can not even begin to express how happy the birth of my baby is. Everything in life does not happen as you wish, but there are still solutions to these problems. I found mine and today, I feel immensely blessed to become a parent. It's a moving moment for me and my family and I'm looking forward to starting this new journey to the maternity ward, "Ekta said in announcing the arrival of Ravie.
