Although there was a handful of shocking and emotional deaths in the film, one of the characters that the fans were certain to die would be Captain America, played by Chris Evans. However, Steve Rogers finally got the end he deserved. After a lifetime of sacrifice, Cape returned back in time and stayed there to marry the love of her life, Peggy Carter.
During an interview with Empire, Avengers: Endgame co-director Joe Russo was questioned about why Marvel Studios did not kill a character like Chris's Captain America Evans, whom people loved but who also expected to die. Here's what he had to say about it:
"Once you've killed a beloved character such as [Tony] you must have hope at the end of the film, and to be the only person to give you that hope. is the other co-leader. If we had killed the two main actors, I think people would have walked in traffic after the movie. The intention is not to destroy people, but rather to tell a complex and dimensioned story in a way that makes them feel a varied range of emotions. "
In the end, it would seem that Captain America's death was discussed, but cut off because it would have been too depressing. The scenario of Steve Rogers, Captain America, is significantly completed, but emotional depth Chris Evans' final scene marks the end of the film and offers a bit of hope for the future of the Marvel film universe.
