Sony is preparing to turn He-Man and Masters of the Universe into a new great franchise and Hollywood Heroic has learned which characters the studio is currently seeking to incorporate into the film.
Noah Centineo He was chosen to play the main role of He-Man in Masters of the Universe which will be based on the Mattel franchise of the same name.
Sony Masters of the Universe focuses on the conflict between He-Man, the secret identity of Prince Adam and the wicked wizard Skeletor on the planet Eternia. The franchise had previously spawned an animated television series from 1983 to 1985 and a film starring Dolph Lundgren in 1987.
Nee brothers, Adam and Aaron Nee direct the reboot from a screenplay written by the writers of Iron Man, Art Marcum. and Matt Holloway. Matthew Milam, of Sony, will oversee the project for the studio and Mattel will be partner of the film. Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch, escapist producers, produce alongside Franklin Entertainment's by DeVon Franklin. While David S. Goyer was previously in talks for the making of the film, he remains in the project as an executive producer and screenwriter.
