Endurance, no resistance formation, has anti-aging effects, according to a study

Researchers led by Professor Ulrich Laufs of the University of Leipzig recruited 266 young, healthy, but previously inactive volunteers and randomly divided them into six months of endurance training, interval training high intensity, resistance training or lifestyle change.

Participants randomized to all three types of exercises followed three sessions of 45 minutes per week, a total of 124.

Researchers badyzed telomere length and telomerase activity in white blood cells in the blood taken from volunteers from the beginning of the study and two to seven days after the last exercise six months later.
