Finance Minister Piyush Goyal announced a one-stop licensing mechanism for Indian filmmakers.
The acquisition of the single desk was previously reserved for foreign films. Given the tremendous job creation potential of the film industry, Piyush Goyal has extended the authorization for single windows for Indian films.
The move will help reduce the time required for filmmakers to obtain permission before filming begins. Goyal also announced that anti-registration provisions would be introduced into the cinematography law to combat piracy.
