We are officially halfway to Game of Thrones' Season 8, after Episode 3, which features the spectacular battle of Winterfell. It was the longest episode of the franchise, as well as its biggest battle, but now that Night King and the White Walkers have been treated, what will happen in episode 4? A trailer offers some tips to give you an overview of the rest of the series. Spoiler Warning in Game of Thrones – do not read until you've seen episode 3 (and, of course, do not want the trailer above).
After airing episode 3, HBO released the video teaser for episode 4, and it suggests another fight, even though it will likely be necessary to wait for the episode 5 or 6. It triggers another imminent fight, this time between the forces of Dany and Jon and those of Cersei. We also have a brief overview of Jon's tellwolf Ghost, who apparently disappeared during episode 3. Watch the video above to watch the video of the teaser.
HBO also shared a preview of the filming of the realization of episode 3. and the Battle of Winterfell. Subsequently, he also shared photos from episode 4 to complete the trailer. They do not reveal much about what to expect, but they offer a fresh look at Arya, Jon, Dany, Cersei and others while waiting fingers crossed for Cleganebowl's potential.
The next episode of Game of Thrones will air on Sunday May 5th. This is another long show that arrives at 78 minutes. The last two episodes, Episode 5 and Episode 6, each last 80 minutes. This will end season 8 and the show in general, although at least one spin-off (a prequel) is in preparation. One of the other benefits envisaged was however canceled. This leaves three more program proposals that HBO could put into production or transmit, although there is no timetable to know when this could happen.
Episode 3 achieved record odds; it was the most watched episode of the series. This is not surprising, given the hype around his execution and the scale of his battle, which was to mark the conclusion of a major scenario dating back to the very first episode of the series. It was packed with Easter eggs and references. We also have a breakdown of what happened to Rhaegal, as well as a more general overview of the Night King.
As the main Game of Thrones show comes to a close, George RR Martin is still working on new books, including The Winds of Winter. . Unfortunately, this date has not yet been published despite the publication of the last major novel in 2011. This interim period has brought other books to expand the universe, but readers have been compelled to count (or avoid) the TV show to close the intrigues that began in 1996.
