Richarlison Speaks
Richarlison evoked his relationship with Ajax star, David Neres, in the midst of transfer rumors linking him to Everton.
The Brazilian duo will unite internationally for the Copa America this summer after successful campaigns.
The two players will now compete for a place in third place ahead of Tite and Richarlison said via Sport Witness: "This is a very good fight because Neres has had a great season in the Netherlands and in the Champions League.
"I get along very well with him, a friendship that is born under 20 years of South America. Let's do our best in training and it's up to the manager to decide who will play. I'm about to do my best when he needs me.
"I think Neres and I, when we met in the under-20 team, everybody said they wanted to be part of the first team.
"There are Neres, me and [Lucas] Paqueta here today. It was everybody's dream. At the time, Brazil participated in the playoffs and we participated in the South American Championship with [Gabriel] Jesus scoring many goals.
"He was a guy who inspired because he was our age."
Richarlison also spoke of his own improvement under Everton's direction, Marco Silva, adding, "I think the tactical part is very used here, with an error for the attackers there is a chance of goal, it must always be well placed.
"I think I have made enough progress in this area and in my finishes. I used to make a lot of mistakes when I played here.
"Marco Silva is asking me to train at the finish, I have made a lot of progress in this area, everyone has seen it during the matches. This year, I scored more goals with fewer shots than last season. I hope to score also in the national team. "
