When spectators entered the theaters to watch the newly released Gully Boy they knew they were ready to play for Zoya Akhtar's filmmaker with ]. Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt were praiseworthy. They did not know that they would come out with a heart full of love not only for the names mentioned above, but also for someone else, someone that most of them they did not know. No point to guess I'm talking about the cute cute guy who played MC Sher .
Siddhant Chaturvedi who debuted as a pioneer and whom he spoke of as his, was to be as attracted as him when I entered the Excel Entertainment office. But it was not the number of interviews that kept him busy, it was his job. When I finally sat down with the latest obsession with the internet, I realized that it was exactly the fresh breath of air that Bollywood needed.
A boy from a middle-clbad family about to become a CA will give up to follow his pbadion and emerge triumphant – does the story of Siddhant not seem worthy of a Bollywood movie? On second thought, his journey is to some extent similar to the plot of Gully Boy . A popular Coca Cola advertisement, unpopular commercials and a Web series later, he found his big ticket for Bollywood when Zoya noticed it at a party and asked him to audition for his film. And the rest belongs to the story.
Although he is new to the industry, Sid does not ignore his abilities, but he chooses to remain enthusiastic, honest and very cool. I asked him to talk about a lot of things – from his big-screen quest to his equation with Ranveer and of course (at the risk of breaking a lot of hearts), his love life.
Are you considering, don & # 39; Coming from a family of films, it must have been hard to get noticed in the crowd and to establish yourself in the industry …
Of course, it was very difficult. Getting up in the morning every day and looking out the window without having any idea what you are going to do is not very pleasant. At first I was auditioning for just 2 or 3 things and mostly commercials for pocket money. I was difficult about that too. I've just made a few, including Coca Cola's.

In addition to that, ek toh maine CA chhod diya tha. Thus, my parents used to resemble "CA Beta karle, naach gaana toh chalta rahega". But I never believed in this safeguard and I was like "No" . And my parents also never really forced me, luckily, they supported me a lot. But it was difficult to come here. It was difficult to enter the lobby and get noticed. During my college studies, I used to walk without stopping so that the auditions were judged good or not. It started with that and finally, people started to recognize me and started to call me. You see, it has happened over time. Although at the beginning, I started by saying, " Abhi Hero Banoonga Hand" . But during my struggle, I realized that the hero jantaa banati hai was playing kar tu beta pehle .
Yes, people say that I was there at that party when Zoya saw me. But to be there is an important thing, right? It was only because Inside Edge had arrived and Ritesh ( Sidhwani producer of Inside Edge ), sir had really appreciated what I had done. . So it's huge for me! I was very selective in my work and because of that, you take the time to get noticed. But I do not regret anything because my two works have been done on the world stage. We went to see the Emmy's with Inside Edge and Gully Boy was presented at the Berlin Film Festival. But reaching here has been very difficult.
Siddhant Chaturvedi In A Still Inside Edge
Tell us a little more about your first meeting with Zoya. I did not expect that to happen It was a successful party for Inside Edge. Zoya danced with me on Gallan Goodiyan (the song of Dil Dhadakne Do, the director of Zoya). She might have thought there was something about me, so she asked me, " Who are you? " And I'm like " I'm Siddhant Chaturvedi. I'm an actor in Inside Edge. "Zoya had not looked at her, so she did not know who I was. But, she came forward and told me that she wanted me to audition for that role and I told myself, "Of course!"
Then she told me asked if I was from Bombay and I told him: " Haan bacchi, apun Bombay get hi hain" . Because I knew Gully Boy was going on and I guess it was my witty presence to do it. But it was just the locating, breaking the audition was the biggest test. I took a whole day to prepare my character. I stayed up all night doing it. I disguised myself as a rapper and went to the audition. I wrote my lines, raped OG that I had written and Zoya called the next day to ask me to join the script if I liked it. That's what I liked, she's an absolute professional. And I knew it was a clbadic before it was created.
You have finally made your debut at Bollywood and the appreciation has not dried up. Would it be acceptable to say that your ultimate childhood dream came true?
In fact, not at all. The thought of acting only came after my college entrance. Before that, I was just mimicry and everything. In addition, at the time, I was clear, I wanted to do CA. … pata hai humko middle-clbad family hain, humare woh soch hi nahi ho sakti hai …
Most parents worry about the safety of their children when they hear "play". And it is the dream of all parents to see their children settled and safe. So, CA was what was there on the map. It all started with my audition for my theater team and my selection. After that, I played a lot of plays – I played, directed, wrote, danced, and acted. We even won some of the intercollegiate festivals we visited and that's what was done. I felt that there was something I was doing well. But even after that, nothing really took off. I did theater for 6 to 7 months, then I had to leave because my CA-IPCC and CPT entry exams were running parallel to my BCom. So, I erased everything on my first attempt and it is only in my third year of university that things started to take off if you can call it that way. There was this event entitled Bombay Times Fresh Face that I won and it was only after that I gained some confidence regarding the commercial aspect of comedy. So, I went to random for auditions by tagging with my theater friends. I realized my potential as an actor and entertainer, also because I danced. Dancing was something I always loved – lock, jump, Bollywood, everything. So, I think my journey started with dancing and I'm painting too. So, I've always been attracted to the creative arts but I never really thought of it as a career.
Let's go back to the speech of the city – your film, Gully Boy ]. In terms of age and experience, you are younger than Ranveer Singh in real life. How did he play his mentor on the screen?
This was a complete reversal of the off-screen role because after a shot, I was like " Baba kaisa kiya?" and he usually was, " Arrey's sideboard accha kiya, yaar" . He was my MC Sher throughout the movie. I have the feeling of having had the chance to work with the actors that I have. They have been so real, unlike actors who try to turn the spotlight or who are not sure. Ranveer Singh is a star, no doubt, he's a megastar but he's a good actor and he let me do my thing.
He broke the ice at our first meeting. He hugged me, hugged me and looked like aarggh . It's such an incredible guy. And I feel that it is so rare because the actors are very uncertain. " Oh we saw saath nahi, iske saath nahi ." But we were so happy to link with the movie and even after. . In fact, he still sends me a text message saying, " Mother bina kuch mat sign karna, haan? Lala phat gaya hai you. Bohot kamaal kiya hai tune . "He sent me a text message. even from Berlin and he was like, "Tune kya kar diya, tujhe kuch idea hi nahi hai ." So he was this guy for me. That's why he is a legend in the making.
What is the preparation that was used to play MC Sher?
Zoya had informed me very well and she had confidence in my preparation. I did my own preparation and I started writing a lot of rap. Do not get me wrong, I was very new. I was locked up 20 days before filming. And if you look at my playlist, even now, there's only rock or Mohammed Rafi, Kishore Kumar and all the other clbadic Bollywood songs. Rap was never my thing because samajh mein nahi aata tha yaar, jo itna fast-fast bolte the .
But I knew hip hop, I danced on hip-hop music. I heard hip hop only to dance, I never thought I could rap. But I had the habit of writing poetry, Shayari . Now, I know that rhythm is what creates rap. After my preparation, when I met Divine for the first time, I hit for him and he really enjoyed it. It was then that I realized that I was going in the right direction.
What was the most difficult aspect of shooting in the film?
None of that was hard because I loved what I was doing as it was my first film. The only difficult part was the wait after the departure because it was long. There was nothing interesting that presented itself to me.
Actually, I still have not signed anything and I'm expecting something big. But I'm ready to wait. I waited 6 years after graduating from university and will wait again because I need something solid to believe.
You surprised everyone with your noteworthy performance. Naturally, your number of fans is increasing every day. What is your best meeting with fans so far?
Oh, it's easy! I met Deepika Padukone after watching the movie. She loved it and really loved my role. She was so happy that she was hugging me and I thought, " I'm a fanboy!" and she looks like: "No, I'm a fangirl!" [19459006Ranveerwasalsothereandhewaslike" Bola tha na tereko main Maine Toh Bola ." It was the best!
What about the feminine attention that is heading towards you?
Of course, I like it. I really like him. But that's not the priority, because in my difficult days, I've learned that these are things that could go to your head.
The attention was there even when I won the Fresh Face content at the university. I know it because I sort of sided with it. That being said, it's nice to see so many girls noticing your work.
Speaking of "so many girls", is there a girl you see right now?
Yes, I am kind of seeing someone. This is a person from the industry but not an actress.
Now that you have made your debut in Bollywood, would you be willing to continue making web series?
After Inside Edge there were so many web offers that I did not want to address because there was nothing interesting about it. There were also many TV offers that were a pure "no". Not because I do not like television, I know there is a huge audience, but because I did not want to be an actor watching TV. I dreamed of being an actor after watching the cinema. My parents always took me watching movies every Friday when I was little. My father is a big fan of cinema and that's why I wanted to become an actor. So, I've been very clear about what I want to do. That said, I'm currently shooting for the 19459025 and 1945926 season of the Inside Edge . So, I guess the content is what will win me.
