Splitsvilla 11 is finally over, Shruti Sinha and Gaurav Alugh being declared winners of the show. Both have been friends for a long time and Shruti has had all the experience of the season. She fell in love with Rohan who asked him to participate in the series. She also teamed up with her best friend, Gaurav, to win this Splitsvilla season. In an exclusive conversation with us, Shruti recounts her experience of the show and some of the best moments she has ever had. Gaurav came in as a joker and took the trophy away from other competitors.
Here are excerpts from our conversation with Shruti.
What was the winning moment? And how was the experience?
In fact, the experience has been great. I have been in the series since the first day and have seen so many ups and downs in the series as friends, relationships and so much more. It was an interesting and very entertaining trip. It was really different compared to Roadies. I met Rohan, Samyukta and Gaurav came in, it was as if I was seeing all my elders. Everyone was there to win and I was practically a bit left out since I was the only one of Roadies. I realized after a while that I was the only one not to play the game.
The best and the worst moments of the series?
There was a wrestling task that I had to do with Anushka and Gaurav. I had just quarreled with Anushka before the task and I was not ready to be part of the same team as her. Some people have convinced me to do my best. When I was at Roadies, I never won a single task involving the fight. And I channeled all my energy towards my anger for Anushka. I won this task and it was a very important moment for me. The lowest point was the elimination of Rohan.
What was your immediate thought when Rohan knelt down for you?
It was not a marriage proposal. I am too young to marry. I'm only 20 years old. He joked about finding a woman and everyone started making fun of it. But let's see where we are in a few years. It was very surprising at that time and I did not know I would miss him even after being expelled. He wanted to do something special for me and Handa helped him.
