Let's just say that SS Rajamouli's franchise Baahubali has become a reference for any filmmaker who is trying to make an epic drama. After all, this opus was such a mega blockbuster, the first multilingual movie to create a story not only in the south, but throughout the country. The scale at which it was made was incredible. It is therefore not surprising that Mammootty's next film, Mamangam, is now compared to Baahubali, as it is also a drama of the time that aims to become his own franchise. Suppose, moreover, that even the greatness in which the Mamangam group was created should be as great as that of Baahubali.
When Mammootty was asked if he was in agreement with these comparisons made with Baahubali, he nonetheless countered by stating that Mamangam is nowhere close to Baahubali with regard to regards the scale. Visually attractive, yes but other than that, Baahubali and Mamangam are two completely different films. "
For those who do not know it, the film takes place in the sixteenth century and revolves around a medieval festival called Mamangam. Let's see it's as big as Baahubali. Not to mention that Mamangam will also be a multilingual version in Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil and Hindi.
