Everyone has a lot of opinions about Game of Thrones and this evening's episode especially elicits very very shared reactions. But one thing we can all agree on? Ghost. The pure and loyal werewolf of Jon Snow, the only creature that has been at his side through the thick and thin since his very first scene in the series! Everyone loves Ghost. Everyone, with the exception of Jon Snow, who is finally really dead for me after the episode tonight.
We were all so relieved that Ghost survived the Battle of Winterfell that we never stopped to consider that Jon could abandon him without scruple without a farewell as a pet! A brief summary of the scene that arouses my anger, as well as that of all Ghost fans: now that the king of the night has been defeated, Tormund and the Wilding are heading north and Jon asks Tormund to take Ghost with him. Why? Because Ghost "belongs to the North". Ok, of course, I guess. But Jon barely even glanced at Ghost as he left it behind him! The poor ghost had to look sadly after his master's departure, and the fans were absolutely not in agreement with that.
I … will never deliver it again. Ghost will probably do it, because Ghost is a good boy and Tormund will probably be a better master for him anyway. In addition, Tormund is still miffed to have been rejected by Brienne – or more precisely, completely ignored in favor of Jaime – and could probably use the love and loyalty of a sweet werewolf. But Jon Snow can never come back from ghosting ghosts.
