Warner Bros. Tuesday previewed the first Joker footage at CinemaCon, giving the press and attendees a preview of the new trailer before it was released on Wednesday. And the trailer is not what you can expect from a comic trailer. In fact, Joker does not look like a cartoon movie at all, even though it takes place in Gotham City and includes Bruce Wayne.

Joker, judging by the trailer, speaks clearly of the type of clown who laughs "inside".

The Joker is directed by Todd Phillips of The Hangover and portrays Joaquin Phoenix in the role of Arthur Fleck, an outsider and overflowing comedian who becomes the crime clown prince. The film takes place in the 1980s, and the city of New York is dubbed Gotham City.

The cast also includes Robert De Niro as a talk show host; Zazie Beetz in the role of Sophie Dumond, single mother and Arthur's lover; Frances Conroy as Arthur's Penny mother; Dante Pereira-Olson as a young Bruce Wayne; Brett Cullen as Thomas Wayne; and Douglas Hodge as Arthur Pennyworth.

The presentation begins with a brief introduction to Phillips, reminding the Warner Bros. marketing team. And as the following trailer clearly shows, the film is definitely a sad story from the perspective of the sad Arthur Fleck bag.
