The clbadic film of Tom Hanks Forrest Gump is officially the subject of a remake.
But instead of another Hollywood rendition, the new incarnation of the heartbreaking story is being made in Bollywood, with Indian actor Aamir Khan set to play the main man himself.
Via The Hollywood Reporter the project will be titled Lal Singh Chadha and will be directed by Advait Chandan.

At a media event held in Mumbai, Khan shared the excellent news: "We bought the rights to Paramount, I've always loved Forrest Gump as a scenario.It's a wonderful story about this character.
"It's a movie that feels good. It's a film for the whole family, "he added, adding that production would begin in October.
Bollywood has attracted a lot of Hollywood films in recent years., With remakes that seem Bang! Bang! which was an adaptation of the action movie Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz Knight and Day .
There is still a lot to do in the die, with The Fault in Our Stars and the Musical Drama Begin Again (starring Mark Ruffalo and Kiera Knightley) also in preparation.
