Fortnite's latest update fits into the holiday spirit by introducing the long-awaited gift function, which allows players to buy items for each other. The current iteration is a test that lasts only a week, but it gives you a good idea of what you can expect once the feature is permanent.
From now on, buying everything in the shop will give you two options: one to keep your purchase and another to give to a friend. Each gift can be badociated with a personalized message and can only be sent to players who have been your friends for at least 48 hours. You can only send a gift if the security of your account is multifactorial (which you should do anyway), and that there is a limit of three gifts per 24 hour period. Gifts are not refundable and you can set up your account so that it does not allow gifts from other players.
Today 's update also introduces 60 fps for new Apple phones, as well as a big buff for shotguns. You can read the full release notes here.
