AR Rahman shared a photo Thursday on his Twitter account, with caption , "The precious ladies of my family Khatija, Raheema and Sairaa with Nita Ambaniji #freedomtochoose." The message comes after the music maestro has been criticized for his daughter Khatija wearing a niqab during a ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of Slumdog Millionaire's Oscar win.

At the celebration, Rahman's daughter, Khatija, was invited to interview him on stage. Khatija, who sang for her father at Enthiran, came dressed in a sari with a niqab-covered face. This led many people to call his "conservative" bandage.

AR Rahman returned it to the trolls tweeting a photo where the three women of his family dressed differently. While his youngest daughter, Raheema and his wife, Sairaa, are not veiled, Khatija is seen in a niqab. Through the legend, he suggests what everyone wears is his personal choice.

] The message reads:

"The recent conversation I had with my father on stage went around, even though I did not expect such an overwhelming response. . However, some comments said that my father had imposed this outfit and that he had double standards. I would like to say that the clothes I wear or the choices I make in my life have nothing to do with my parents. The veil was my personal choice with complete acceptance and honor. I am a mature and healthy adult who knows how to make my choices in life. Every human being has the choice to wear or do what he / she wants and that's what I did. Therefore, please do not make your own judgment without understanding the exact situation. #freedomofchoice "

AR Rahman won two Oscars for the 2009 Slumdog Millionaire.
