From Mumbai to Pune in 2 hours and 35 minutes, a reality!

The dream of commuters who want a faster commute between Mumbai and Pune is about to materialize with the successful test of the Mumbai-Pune Intercity Express by the Central Railway on Friday. This will reduce travel time between the two cities to two hours and 35 minutes thanks to the locomotives attached to both ends of the train. With the road trip taking almost three hours, the Intercity train will become the fastest means of transport between the two cities.

The Mumbai CSMT Pune Intercity Express is a high-speed train operated by the Central Railway and currently lasts three hours. and 17 minutes from Mumbai CSMT to Pune and three hours 10 minutes from Pune to Mumbai CSMT. With the revised schedule that saves time, the Intercity will depart from CSMT Mumbai at 6:45 (instead of 6:40) and reach Pune at 9:20 (instead of 9:57). He will begin his return journey from Pune at 18:30 (instead of 17:55) and reach Mumbai at 21:05.

"The trial was a resounding success and we propose to do it regularly in the public, to be in Karjat where the train had to be immobilized to tie up banker locomotives at the rear." No Upgrade for Deccan Queen

The prestigious Decumb Queen train in Mumbai-Pune Deccan will miss the long-awaited 90th anniversary upgrade on June 1st, after the delay in new train cars. Central Ironman was very keen on improving the Deccan Queen and had participated in a survey before sending its applications to the Delhi Railways Commission to improve it.
