Disney released Monday the first trailer of Frozen 2, the long-awaited sequel to the Academy Award-winning film, Frozen.
The two-minute trailer begins with Elsa looking to make her way to a dark island. It freezes the water and tries to jump over the waves. After several attempts, she finds herself on a rock.
We then have an overview of the other characters – Sven is moving away somewhere while Anna seems worried. A shot shows Olaf surrounded by purple flames. The teaser does not contain a single word, although some notes of music are played towards the end, teasing the biggest attraction of the series: the soundtrack.
The first Frozen became a global phenomenon thanks to its title "Let it Go". The suite promises to offer more songs to children and adults.
Frozen has won more than $ 1.2 billion in global box office, making it the biggest hit of Walt Disney Animation Studio. Between the six years required to produce the sequel, Disney released two short films taking place in the Frozen Universe – Frozen Fever in 2015 and Olaf's Frozen Adventure in 2017.
Jennifer Lee's directors and Chris Buck, Academy Award winners, and producer Peter Del Vecho – and featuring the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad, and the songwriters' music award winners. an Oscar, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez – will open Frozen 2 in theaters in November.
