Conference Call: Carice van Houten Dan Selcke
Night King is dead. Westeros is at peace.
I'm kidding. As hard to believe as we are still halfway to the last Game of Thrones and now that Big Popsicle has bitten him, the question is: what does the show do with its last three episodes, which are all about as long as "The Long Night"? Let's see if we can pull something out of the trailer:
I know the mileage will vary, but I love the audacity with which the show was made to kill the king of the night with time to lose. Many of us thought that the end game would be to face the Night King and the army of the dead, but no! At first sight, the show will evoke alliances and bargains as well as the good old human malice.
Speaking of which, Cersei has what it takes to fight Daenerys and what remains of his armies? His strategy of the Battle of Winterfell seems to have borne fruit. And what about the tension between Jon and Dany? He was burning towards the end of "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms", but they of course put it aside when the dead came calling. How about the rivalry between Dany and Sansa? Arya will he regain a little respect after carrying the fatal blow to the king of nights?
Discuss everything in the comments below! The new episode will air tonight at 20:00. CST on HBO.
