Game of Thrones Westworld and The story of the maid dominated this year's Emmy nominations. Games of Thrones picked up 22 nods for its seventh season becoming the most-nominated series of all time with a total of 129 nods since 2011. The Hospitaller Drama ER had already won 124. Westworld followed closely with 21 nominations, and The Handmaid's Tale received 20 nominations
The 70th Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on September 17 . The Weekend Update Saturday Night Live anchor Colin Jost and Michael Che will be the host of the ceremony.
