The most amusing facet of Game of Thrones is that no one is ever safe. The minute things start to go well for a fan favorite character, it's the minute at which fans have to start worrying about that character.

Because of the way Game of Thrones divided its two human forces between Winterfell and King's Landing, it is very unlikely that anyone with any real meaning will die before the King of the night and his forces arrive at the gateways of Winterfell – which could happen as early as the third episode, or even at the end of it – unless King's Cersei's forces do not attempt to ambush Winterfell's forces (or vice versa).
The two characters who had the most problems last week, Yara Greyjoy and Tormund Giantsbane, were shown alive and (relatively) well.
