Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 4 Review: After a long pacy night, a dull episode

[ad_1]

If the previous episode of Game Of Thrones made us all jump with joy and excitement, screaming and overwhelming our favorite characters, the last episode – entitled The Last of the Starks – was only to take stock of the aftermath. from a great battle.

The episode, directed by David Nutter, was a dark affair, with many ups and downs. Here is our report of the episode without spoiler:

"For those who follow us"
The long night may be over, but those who remain must take into account the immense losses and move on. Daenerys and Sansa have both lost men they love, and others, like Sam and Jon, have lost old friends and supporters.
Though the dead are dead, now that the King of the night is gone, there are too many lives lost. It seems that half of Dany and Jon's forces are definitely lost and this episode is soon overflowing with possibilities for the future.

Ghost Protocol
If Ghost looks as hurt as Arya and Jon do, it's because he too has gone through the ring. It's unclear exactly how he survived the badault on the dead after Dothraki's initial charge, but hardcore fans would be happy that he did it.
However, the same fans might not like what will follow. You may not like the way Ghost has been treated this season, but at least it's part of the biggest fan service to which the show's writers are clearly committed.

A Dark Feast for New Lords [19659004] The good news is – and Sansa would be relieved – that those who survived could now have enough food to cope with the winter. A festive feast is a must, but it seems rather dark and silent, but also rich in events.

Dany questions Gendry about her lineage, but what she actually could not call the fan service anymore. Drinking games, clumsy conversations, this is the purpose of this episode, and you could start losing patience with all this.

"This is not me"
In all this misery and orchestrated clumsiness, the small meeting of Sansa and The Hound stands out. Sisters Stark and Jon have lived many things, but unlike some other characters in the series (read, both Queens), they remain true to what they are.

Sansa, Arya, Bran and Jon are the latest Starks. they seem to fend for themselves like a backpack with an indestructible link. It is, however, very frustrating that Game Of Thrones officials have decided not to show us how much of a revealing event for the Starks has occurred.

The Dragon Queen's Losses
There is probably no one who has seen more defeats in the past two seasons than Daenerys Targaryen. If she loses most of her Westerosi allies in season 7, she loses a better part of her armed forces in this one.

Dany's loneliness and despair are obvious. Many fans were expecting betrayal, and it seems like more and more fan theories will come true. However, Dany's insistence on his own terms – which is really very tiring and irritating after all that has happened in this world – could make fans believe that she deserved more losses .

All Around the South [19659004] While most of the main characters now travel south to fight Cersei, the series has made them the biggest villain, far bigger than the king of the night. She proves that she is an adequate strategist, both in war and in the bedroom.
But unlike the first half of this season, the fourth episode seems disappointing. The sorrows, the betrayals, even the few scenes of combat, suggest that this spectacle is not what it used to be.

If you believe that the fan service is cool, then you can enjoy this episode, even the small pieces with Bronn, Brienne, Tormund, Tyrion and Jaime. But if you're one of those who are faithful to the great narrative power of George RR Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, you'll be disappointed by this episode.

There are only two episodes left before the release of this epic television series. Finally, manufacturers may not be able to come back, especially if they continue to use the fan service. They have now made all this quite predictable, leaving almost their reference to "a bittersweet ending" not something you would look forward to for anything other than epic visuals.
