The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones is imminent and fans are eager to see their favorite characters fight for their lives and for the throne. From Daenerys Targaryen to Tyrion Lannister, fans are banking on who will eventually rule Westeros.

In this fight between fans, a name appeared as the new favorite: Sansa Stark. The oldest daughter of the Stark, played by Sophie Turner, was hated by fans the previous season for her snobbish and selfish temperament. But over the course of the seven seasons, she made sure to learn traitors around her and still did not let the devil consume her good heart. Whenever we thought that she would give in to selfishness or make bad decisions, she surprised us.

Sansa was abused every turn. First of all, she fell in love with the insupportable King Joffrey and had to live under the constant gaze of his mother, Queen Cersei. Then she was forced to marry Tyrion, which may have brought her a few days of relief. Later, she was manipulated by Lord Baelish and sold to the ugliest villain of all time, Ramsay Bolton.

But, in spite of all these desperate situations, she has survived, year after year, suffering in silence, making good friends, fleeing at the first opportunity and, most importantly, pulling lessons from all that life has thrown at her.

During the past season she has shown wisdom beyond her years when she united with her sister Arya to shoot down the snake that lit the fire that burned all his house: Lord Baelish. At the present time, Sansa is the lady of Winterfell and perhaps more fit to govern than her brother, Jon Snow. But she has a new challenge in the new season. She will have to prepare her people for a battle to put an end to all the battles when the king of the night comes knocking on his door. While many would consider her unfit to face such a powerful enemy with no ability to save herself, it will be worthwhile to discover how she meets this challenge.

Before the start of the season, April 14th, here are Sansa Stark's top five scenes to remind you all she went through and how she came out victorious despite that.
