Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor once sparked heated debate by referring to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as "aunty". All of this happened after Sonam became an ambbadador for a popular cosmetics brand, also approved by Aishwarya. Actress Veere Di Wedding had shocked everyone when she would have called the old "Miss World" of "aunt" while talking about becoming the brand's new ambbadador. "Aishwarya is an aunt of another generation," she reportedly said in 2011. She would also have supported her statement, claiming that since Aishwarya had romanticized her father, Anil Kapoor, in the movies, she could very well to address her as "aunt". .
