The short answer is yes, there is a post-credit scene …
Of course, many spoilers are following for the movie below ! Do not read further if you do not want to be spoiled.
O.K., Still there? Keep reading for a complete description of what happens at the end of the film and during (and after) the credits of Godzilla: The King of Monsters!
First of all, the immediate credits that follow the action include a montage that details what has happened in the whole world following the events of the king of monsters. Godzilla, of course, proved that he was really the monster king, defeating King Ghidorah – and decimating most of Boston en route – to finally stay triumphant like the remaining monsters, including Rodan new creatures are supplicating in his presence.
As credits roll by, "ripped-off" style updates show that the world has begun healing after Godzilla's triumph. Yes, Vera Farmiga's character, Dr. Emma Russell, was right: her wacky plan to free all sleeping monsters off the planet to allow the Earth to find a new balance seems to fade away. It does not matter the total destruction suffered by humanity, the decision that has been made … or the insane development of its character and its kind in distribution.
But we also hear rumors of Skull Island – yes, King Kong is designated obliquely. up & # 39; here. Regarding the post-credit scene, you will have to Observe and appreciate the names of all those who worked hard before arriving at this film. The scene depicts the return of Charles Dance's character, Jonah Alan, who appeared to have disappeared from the third act of King of the Monsters for some reason. But now he's back on Isla de Mara, where Rodan was born from this volcano earlier in the film. Alan is headed into a sort of installation by a former local fisherman (there was more fishing after the US government launched this destructive oxygen, you know) before ending up in a room where one of the cut heads of King Ghidorah is being restrained. Of course, it must be the head that was, uh, removed by Godzilla during the sequence and the ensuing chase for Isla de Mara.
Alan simply says, "We will take it." And then the movie ends.
So it looks like we'll see the three-headed dragon again, maybe a real villain in Godzilla vs. Kong. Will this head regenerate a whole new body? Will the character of Dance make a robo-body? (There is a precedent for the latter.) Only time … and the MonsterVerse … will say it!
